The Work
Clinical rigour.
Lived experience.
I am an African Childhood Trauma Specialist and Licensed Counselling Psychologist — registered with the Kenya Counsellors and Psychologists Board.
I am also Level 1 certified in EMDR — Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing — one of the most evidence-based therapeutic approaches for processing trauma at its root.
"I have lived the work I am asking you to do. I have sat in my own therapy. I have named my own wounds."
My sessions are fully online — serving clients across Africa, Canada, USA, Denmark, Australia, and beyond.

When you became the emotional adult in your childhood home
Dysfunctional family systems
The roles we played without choosing them
Mother-daughter wounds
The most layered healing there is
Boarding school experiences
The attachment disruption they create
Poverty trauma
How scarcity lives in the body long after the money arrives
Religious conditioning
And the shame it leaves behind
Intergenerational healing
Breaking cycles for yourself and those who come after you
The Story
The wound became
the work.
Three and a half years ago, I started what I thought was my survival kit. I was shaking in my boots. I had no savings, no plan, and a marriage that had just ended — spectacularly, to the dismay of many.
I did the only thing I knew how to do: I began to tell stories. I began to illuminate the connection between our childhood and our adult relationships.
"At the brink of despair, I begged the Lord to use the rod in my hand — which at that time was psychology, and my own story. Little did I know He had a bigger plan."
There are wounds that are not necessarily explicit. Wounds that don't make the headlines of someone's story. Wounds that permeate the soul quietly — to crashing levels.
I came to call them silent scars.
And then something remarkable happened. The Lord began bringing to my practice clients whose pain I understood before they could name it. People who were struggling in love in ways they could not explain.
"The pain didn't crush me. It built me. Still the warm, empathetic Tata. But now as a healed, bolder version — the Daisy that couldn't be crushed."

The Person
A little more
of who I am.
Because you should know.
I am a parent to two amazing humans.
Healing my own wounds has made parenting them richer.
I am a child.
The healing journey I walked with my own parent crystallised that relationship into something more authentic than I ever thought possible.
I am a lover of Jesus.
My faith is woven through everything I do, without being imposed on anyone I work with.
I love love.
I have been through the fire of a relationship ending. And I still believe in love — deeply, stubbornly, hopefully.
I dance whenever music plays.
No exceptions. Ugali will always be home.
"We need to heal so we don't bleed on those who didn't hurt us."
"It stops with me."
Who This Is For
If you have found your way here —
you are probably ready.
You are not broken. You are not difficult. You are not too much. You are carrying something that was never named.
Work With Me →Has always been the strong one — and is quietly exhausted by it
Keeps repeating the same patterns in love, and cannot understand why
Grew up in an African home where love was present but emotions weren't discussed
Is in the diaspora — Canada, USA, Denmark, Australia — navigating an African childhood far from home
Has tried therapy before — and felt something was always slightly lost in translation
Is a parent who wants the cycle to stop with them
Suspects — somewhere deep — that what they carry started long before their first relationship
